About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer in Columbia, South Carolina, to serve and safeguard clients at a food and beverage distribution location. The officer will maintain a visible presence, patrol assigned areas, help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service and clear communication. The role follows site-specific policies and reporting procedures and may involve emergency response activities. The schedule is Monday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Friday and Saturday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Pay is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, following site-specific reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production, warehouse, loading dock, parking, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site policies.
Document observations, incidents, and irregular conditions and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
