About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Mobile, Alabama. The role supports site access control and customer service by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring activity, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The position pays $17.46 per hour and is scheduled Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following access-control procedures and site-specific policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor entry points, verify credentials and authorized access, manage visitor registration, and maintain accurate access-related records.
Respond calmly to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, and report unauthorized activity or security concerns.
Communicate clearly, follow confidentiality expectations, and report unusual activity or policy violations through established channels.
