About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Inspection in Suffolk, Virginia. The role provides reliable hours at an assigned site, with a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform to increase their hours, potentially building up to 40 hours per week while retaining the flexibility to scale back. The pay rate is $15.25 per hour. The scheduled shift is Saturday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, promptly communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of food and beverage production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required logs and documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Observe and report hazards, unusual conditions, and policy violations that may affect operations, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
