About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Inspection in Amherst, New York. The role provides reliable hours at an assigned site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The assigned site and weekly anchor shift require a six-month commitment. Employees may work part-time hours or pick up enough additional shifts to work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The role pays $19.84 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday from 5:00 PM to 11:30 PM and Tuesday from 4:30 PM to 11:30 PM.

The officer supports a technology, media, and telecommunications location by delivering customer service, carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, patrolling assigned areas, monitoring access and visitors, responding to incidents and alarms, and documenting activity. Emergency response activities may be part of the role when appropriate.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors at the site.
• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, perimeter, and other assigned areas to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assist with access control, and direct guests to appropriate locations.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel as directed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while supporting a professional environment.
