About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time enhanced unarmed Security Officer for an assigned site in Sunnyvale, California. The role provides a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Hours may vary from week to week, with the opportunity to build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The pay rate is $25.00 per hour. The listed shift is Sunday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM.

The officer provides customer service and carries out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. Duties include access monitoring, patrols, incident response, reporting, and shift handoffs.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Applicable licensing requirements may need to be met before employment, depending on state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following security procedures, site policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor records, and report access-control concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services when directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility and office areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or security concerns.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with company and site requirements.
