About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Inspection in New Hartford, New York, at a manufacturing and industrial location. The position pays $18.50 per hour and offers dependable assigned-site hours, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The assigned weekly shift requires a six-month commitment. The role may provide opportunities to work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back.

The scheduled anchor shifts are Saturdays and Sundays, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The officer provides customer service and carries out security procedures, site-specific policies, patrols, access monitoring, documentation, and incident response as directed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access, verify visitor and contractor credentials as directed, and document entries, exits, and incidents in required logs.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts or emergency services as directed.
• Maintain a professional presence and report hazards, equipment issues, and other security-related concerns according to site procedures.
