About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer Access Control in West Point, Virginia, at a manufacturing and industrial location. The officer helps maintain a welcoming and secure environment by managing visitor and employee access, issuing badges, monitoring entry points, and responding to security-related concerns. The position involves customer service, use of computer or tablet systems, and clear communication with site personnel. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized personnel to designated areas.
Respond calmly to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, perimeter areas, parking areas, and operational spaces to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
