About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer Access Control in Lynchburg, Virginia, at a manufacturing and industrial location. The officer will help maintain a secure environment through badge verification, visitor screening, alarm response, and access monitoring, while providing professional customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors. The position pays $21.63 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for this unarmed role and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on applicable background and drug screening requirements. Licensing may be required under state or local regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor and control facility access, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct individuals according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to identify unauthorized activity or irregular conditions.
Complete accurate reports, maintain required records, and communicate relevant security information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
