About The Position

Physical Security Officers (PSOs) serve on the front line of OPS Security Group’s security services in demanding, fast-paced environments. Assignments may include medical centers, government facilities, hospitality venues, and public events. PSOs protect people, information, and property while delivering high-end customer service. The role is full-time and offers morning and afternoon/evening shifts in New Castle, Delaware.

Employment with OPS Security Group is voluntary and at will, meaning either the employee or the company may terminate employment at any time, with or without cause or notice.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two years of face-to-face customer service experience.
• Two years of security experience.
• Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient time management skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Excellent de-escalation skills.
• Proactive problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to obtain the state-required security officer license.
• Ability to obtain OCAT, PATH, and PPBT certifications.
• Must pass a comprehensive background investigation, urinalysis screening, and OPS training requirements.
• Ability to work under stress or pressure.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Ability to wear a uniform.
• Yellow card is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-end customer service.
• Respond to emergencies.
• Deter and prevent crime.
• Perform ingress and egress control procedures.
• Investigate incidents.
• Complete daily logs and incident reports.
• Conduct regular walking or vehicle patrols.
• Build and maintain professional rapport with clients, guests, and coworkers.
• De-escalate conflicts.
• Detain suspects.
• Monitor CCTV cameras.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
