About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer in South Chesterfield, Virginia, you will serve and safeguard clients in the logistics and distribution industry. In a busy logistics and distribution location, you will screen individuals and monitor access points to help maintain a secure environment. You will provide courteous customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and identify and report security-related concerns. The listed schedule is Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and Sunday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.22 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, drivers, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
Screen personnel, visitors, contractors, vehicles, and permitted items entering designated areas according to location procedures.
Verify identification, credentials, access authorization, and delivery documentation before permitting entry to restricted or operational areas.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, including initiating appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report observations.
