About The Position

As a part-time unarmed patrol officer at a logistics and distribution location in New York, NY, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible security presence, and help create a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide customer service, communicate clearly, document observations, and represent Allied Universal’s values. The role is scheduled Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.00–$18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and conducting emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents, access concerns, package or freight irregularities, and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, parking areas, trailer yards, entry points, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers according to site procedures.
Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities, and promptly communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
