About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Inspection for an assigned logistics and distribution location in New York, NY. The role provides a designated weekly shift as a dependable base schedule, requiring a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, with the option to build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The position pays $17.00–$18.00 per hour. The listed shift is Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, access points, trailer yards, and the facility perimeter to identify unusual activity and potential security concerns.
• Monitor access by observing entry and exit activity, verifying credentials as directed, and documenting visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, communicate observations to appropriate personnel, and follow established reporting procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports on patrols, incidents, access activity, and other security-related observations.
