About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in New York, NY. The officer will safeguard the site, maintain a visible presence, help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The position involves customer service, clear communication, and documenting activity while representing Allied Universal’s culture of reliability, innovation, agility, and integrity. The schedule is Thursday and Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. Pay is $17.00–$18.00 per hour. The role is part time and provides access to a platform for viewing and claiming additional shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if assigned to a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, package or shipment-related concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, vehicle yards, trailer parking, access points, and the business perimeter.
Monitor access by verifying credentials, observing visitor and driver activity, and maintaining required logs and reports.
Report hazards, damaged fencing or gates, suspicious activity, and other security-related concerns according to site procedures.
