About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for patrol and hazard recognition at an assigned logistics and distribution site in the Bronx, New York. The position provides a fixed weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment, plus the option to claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow the employee to work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The role pays $17.35–$18.35 per hour. The listed schedule is Thursday, 2:00 AM–10:00 AM.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• Guard card or license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, entry points, and the facility perimeter to identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and vehicle entry documentation according to site-specific procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in required reports and logs.
