About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol assistance Security Officer in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. The role provides consistent hours at an assigned site on a designated weekly shift, with a six-month commitment to the assigned site and shift. In addition to the fixed shift, officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform. Additional hours may create opportunities to work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $20.16 per hour. The listed schedule is Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The officer provides customer service and carries out security-related procedures and site policies. The role includes responding to incidents and alarms, conducting patrols, monitoring access and visitors, maintaining logs and reports, and supporting a professional healthcare and research environment.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical-related events, and critical situations, following site protocols and promptly communicating observations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of laboratory, office, parking, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate security-related logs and reports.
• Provide clear directions, report maintenance or access concerns, and collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
