About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer in Sterling, Virginia, serving a technology and media location. The officer conducts routine patrols and maintains a visible presence to help deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role involves customer service, addressing security-related concerns, documenting observations, and collaborating with site teams. The position pays $23.11 per hour and is scheduled Friday and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter; identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
- Monitor access, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and assist with visitor management and delivery procedures.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and communicate concerns promptly to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain awareness of changing conditions, complete required activity reports, and follow Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
