About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Whitsett, North Carolina. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment. The role includes providing customer service, communicating with visitors and staff, and using computer or tablet systems as needed. The listed schedule is Wednesday and Saturday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM. Pay is $16.89 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.

Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and other stakeholders by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior workspaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions or potential security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report access-related issues to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence.
