About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location in York, Pennsylvania. The officer will help safeguard the client and support a welcoming environment by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access points, and assisting with badge access. The position emphasizes customer service, clear communication, teamwork, integrity, reliability, and a people-first culture. The role pays $17.42 per hour. Scheduled hours are Friday and Saturday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Officers may use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, if required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations while following established site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access by verifying authorized personnel, visitors, and deliveries according to site requirements.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
