Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Customer Assistance Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to serve at a commercial real estate location in Detroit, Michigan. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, supporting access control, and providing customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors. Officers use computer or tablet tools to document observations and communicate with tenants, visitors, team members, site management, and Allied Universal leadership. The scheduled shifts are Saturday and Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.50 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting unusual conditions or policy violations according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed, and use a problem-solving approach.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports and communicate relevant security-related information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
