About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to provide patrol assistance at a healthcare location in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The officer will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and the facility through visible patrols, access monitoring, customer service, incident response, and accurate reporting. The role pays $19.10 per hour and is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations, follow established protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site-specific procedures, provide directions, and address access-related concerns.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts.
