About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Olive Branch, Mississippi, for a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The unarmed patrol role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, supporting access control, and assisting employees, visitors, and contractors professionally. Officers use communication and customer service skills to report observations, respond to concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment. The posted schedule is Friday from 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM and Saturday from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $16.50 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.

Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, service requests, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout office areas, data and telecommunications spaces, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter.
Monitor access activity and report unusual conditions, unauthorized access attempts, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts.
Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
