Security Officer Part Time Access Patrol

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a healthcare location in Birmingham, Alabama. The unarmed officer will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The officer will provide customer service and clear communication to patients, visitors, and staff while helping maintain a welcoming environment. The scheduled shifts are Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $13.57 per hour. The role includes access to a platform for viewing and claiming additional shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements if required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with access control and badges.
Customer service experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
A guard card or license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and others by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site protocols.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, wayfinding, and compliance with facility access procedures.
Complete incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
