Security Officer Part Time Patrol Public Assistance
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer to patrol and provide public assistance at a cultural institution in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The officer will help safeguard visitors, staff, volunteers, and vendors by maintaining a visible presence, carrying out location-specific security procedures, and supporting a welcoming experience. The role requires professional communication, customer service, accurate reporting, and calm responses to incidents and visitor concerns. The posted schedule is Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9:30 AM to 5:15 PM. The pay rate is $16.25 per hour. Employees can use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Requirements
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment, if required.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, volunteers, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations, following established reporting and notification procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, public areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security concerns.
- Assist with access control, visitor screening, and monitoring restricted areas in accordance with location procedures.
- Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate observations to site leadership and appropriate personnel.
