About The Position

As a part-time unarmed Security Officer at a retail location in Allen, Texas, you will help safeguard clients, visitors, and staff. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment. The role involves providing customer service, communicating clearly, and documenting activity using computer or tablet tools. The listed schedule is Monday and Friday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, loading areas, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, following site-specific escalation procedures.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
Complete accurate activity reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
