About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Guest Assistance Security Officer in Suffolk, Virginia, you will help safeguard a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct patrols, support access control, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, respond to security concerns, and provide customer service. The position is scheduled Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM and Saturday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Pay is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, unauthorized access, and security concerns.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and delivery traffic according to site procedures; verify credentials and direct people as needed.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear, timely reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related activities, and communicate professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
