About The Position

As a Security Officer at a commercial real estate location in Los Angeles, California, you will safeguard clients while providing professional customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel. You will conduct unarmed patrols, help deter incidents through a visible presence, monitor access and activity, respond to incidents and alarms, and document security-related work using computer or tablet tools. The role follows site-specific procedures and emergency response protocols and supports a welcoming environment.

The position is full-time and pays $22.28 per hour. The schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel while following site-specific procedures and security protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor property access and visitor and vendor activity; report unauthorized entry, property concerns, and suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs about patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
