About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for a retail location in Allen, Texas. The officer will help safeguard clients and visitors by patrolling assigned retail areas, maintaining a visible presence, providing customer assistance, and documenting activity with computer or tablet tools. The role supports a welcoming and orderly environment and requires professional communication with visitors, shoppers, and store personnel. The position pays $18.54 per hour. The listed schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and visitors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and constructively to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail areas, entrances, loading areas, parking locations, and the property perimeter.
Monitor access points and look for unusual activity, policy violations, and potential hazards; document observations and complete required reports.
Help maintain an orderly retail environment by providing directions, supporting crowd-management procedures, and communicating professionally with store personnel and visitors.
