About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Customer Assistance in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, you will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture. This is a full-time position paying $16.00 per hour. The listed schedule is 7:00 AM–3:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience.
A guard card is required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and follow established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, offices, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements.
Accurately and promptly document observations, incidents, and irregular conditions, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
