About The Position

As a Security Officer Customer Assistance Patrol in Columbus, Indiana, you will serve and safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment. The role includes providing customer service, communicating professionally with employees and visitors, and responding to security-related concerns with integrity. This is an unarmed patrol position. The position is full-time and pays $15.50 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Monday through Thursday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements required by applicable state or local laws and regulations before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following site-specific reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing and industrial areas, including exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site policies, and document relevant observations.
Report hazards, equipment concerns, unusual activity, and maintenance-related issues to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
