Security Officer Full Time Driver Unarmed Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a driving patrol post at a retail location in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The officer will serve and safeguard clients by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, providing customer service, and communicating professionally. The role requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. The posted pay rate is $15.14 per hour. The schedule is Monday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. A background investigation and drug screen are conditions of employment, subject to applicable laws. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local regulations. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter.
- Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and potential hazards, and report observations to site management and/or appropriate personnel.
- Assist with access control and visitor direction, and maintain a professional presence that helps deter unwanted activity.
