Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Driver Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer for a retail and mall location in San Bruno, California. The officer will help safeguard clients, visitors, tenants, and staff by conducting foot and vehicle patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring activity, responding to incidents, and providing customer service. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license and compliance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. The posted pay rate is $23.50 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Wednesday and Saturday through Sunday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Drug screening as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of retail common areas, parking facilities, loading zones, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas.
- Monitor access points and activity throughout the location; report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as directed.
- Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports.
- Maintain professional communication with property management, tenants, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.
