About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol driver to serve and safeguard clients at a retail mall location in Manassas, Virginia. The role involves routine driving and foot patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, responding to security-related concerns, and providing customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and employees. Officers follow site-specific policies and procedures, communicate relevant information, and represent Allied Universal’s culture of reliability, care, innovation, agility, and integrity.

The posted schedule is Monday through Wednesday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM; Saturday, 12:00 PM–8:00 PM; and Sunday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.39 per hour.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the property perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, following site-specific procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to help deter unauthorized access, theft, and disruptive behavior.
• Accurately document patrols, incidents, and daily activities and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
