Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for an unarmed patrol-driving position at a retail location in Gilroy, California. The officer conducts routine patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and supports a welcoming environment for customers and associates. This primarily driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. The role calls for exceptional customer service and clear communication while working with a team committed to integrity. The position pays $20.00 per hour. The posted schedule is 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify potential security concerns.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site procedures.
- Monitor customer and employee activity, report suspicious behavior or policy violations, and document incidents according to site requirements.
- Assist with access control, traffic flow, and customer service needs while maintaining a professional presence.
