About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol driver to serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Carleton, Michigan. The role involves conducting routine patrols, monitoring access points, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and the pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements, is required for this driving position.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.
Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas; help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures, verify credentials when assigned, and document access-related concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and prepare required reports.
Maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident documentation, and patrol records, and communicate professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
