About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol Security Officer in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, at $12.00 per hour. The position provides a fixed weekly schedule at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to the designated shifts. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, offering the flexibility to increase or reduce hours. The role can provide opportunities to work toward a schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

The scheduled shifts are Saturday and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 11:59 PM. The officer will provide customer service and carry out security procedures at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including operations spaces, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter boundaries, and identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures to help maintain orderly entry and exit operations.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete activity logs, incident reports, and other security-related documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
