About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a commercial real estate location in Herndon, Virginia. The officer will provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and personnel; conduct routine interior and exterior patrols; support access control; and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role also involves using communication and technology skills to document activity and respond to security-related needs. The scheduled shifts are Saturday and Sunday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.57 per hour. Applicants must meet the stated age and education requirements and are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment, where required.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and personnel by following security procedures and site-specific policies and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, common areas, parking facilities, and the property perimeter.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, tenant, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
