About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol for an assigned healthcare site in Durham, North Carolina. The position provides a designated weekly shift as a reliable base schedule, with a six-month commitment to that assignment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, offering opportunities to increase earnings and work toward a schedule of up to 40 hours per week, while retaining the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $20.46 per hour. The posted schedule is Saturday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable law.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations; notify appropriate site personnel or emergency responders as directed by policy.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and help visitors with directions and wayfinding.
• Accurately and promptly document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in accordance with company and site procedures.
