About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time enhanced Security Officer in Honolulu, Hawaii. The role provides a reliable weekly assignment at a designated site, with a six-month commitment to the assigned shift. Officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform to increase their hours, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The position pays $20.00 per hour and is scheduled Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

The Security Officer provides customer service to government transportation personnel and visitors, follows security procedures and site-specific policies, and may respond to emergencies. Duties include foot or vehicle patrols, access monitoring, incident documentation, and reporting traffic conditions, hazards, and unusual activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to government transportation personnel and visitors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of traffic management facilities, access points, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter areas, identifying and reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized personnel and visitors as directed, and document entries, incidents, and observations.
• Respond calmly to incidents, traffic-related disruptions, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as required.
• Observe traffic patterns, report hazards or obstructions, and follow established post instructions to help maintain orderly movement around the location.
