About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer for an assigned site in Pacific Palisades, California. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment, along with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Employees may work varying part-time hours and can build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The position pays $23.50 per hour and is scheduled for Saturdays from 4:00 PM to midnight.

The Security Officer provides customer service while following security procedures and site-specific policies, responds calmly to incidents and emergencies, and conducts regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience.
• CPR certification.
• Access control and badge experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• A guard card or license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
