Security Officer Entry Level Full Time Overnights
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer Patrol in Roanoke, Virginia, at a logistics and distribution location. The officer will safeguard the site by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, and providing customer service. The role involves professional communication with team members and visitors and helping maintain an orderly environment. The pay rate is $16.20 per hour. The schedule is overnight: Monday through Thursday and Sunday, 10:30 PM to 6:00 AM. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
- Monitor access points and support orderly movement of employees, visitors, drivers, and deliveries.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
