About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Roanoke, Virginia. The officer will serve and safeguard clients at retail, warehouse, logistics, and distribution locations. The role involves maintaining a visible security presence, conducting patrols, supporting access control, responding to incidents, and providing customer service and clear communication. The position offers access to a shift-claiming platform and opportunities to pursue additional shifts and career growth.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
A guard card or license.
Access control or badge experience.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail, warehouse, loading dock, distribution, parking, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, receiving areas, and employee or visitor entry procedures; verify credentials and maintain visitor and delivery logs as directed.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency responders.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
