About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Sandston, Virginia, you will help safeguard clients by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing customer service and communication. The role supports a dynamic technology facility and includes overnight hours. Pay is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the technology facility, building perimeter, parking areas, access points, and other assigned areas to identify unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, patrol, and incident documentation.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, follow site protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
Report maintenance concerns, access-control issues, and suspicious activity to help protect technology infrastructure and operational areas.
