About The Position

As a Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location in Axis, Alabama, you will help safeguard clients by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine unarmed patrols, supporting access control, and maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents. The role involves customer service, clear communication, and working within a reliable, team-focused culture built on integrity.

This is a full-time overnight position scheduled Thursday through Sunday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $16.50 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points and verify visitor and contractor authorization.
• Maintain required visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Report hazardous conditions, equipment concerns, and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership in accordance with established procedures.
• Provide customer service and clear communication while working in a team-focused environment.
