About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for overnight shifts at an automotive manufacturing location in South Charleston, Ohio. The officer will help manage facility entry and exit activity, verify credentials, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role requires customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. The position pays $16.15 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Control facility access by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorizations, and delivery documentation according to site requirements.
Monitor entry and exit points; maintain visitor and contractor logs; issue and collect access credentials; and report access-related discrepancies to site leadership.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, parking areas, and perimeter; report unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized access.
