About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location in Fredericksburg, Virginia, you will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and property. You will conduct routine and random patrols, maintain a visible presence, support a welcoming environment, provide customer service, and respond to security-related concerns in accordance with established protocols and site-specific requirements. The role includes communicating clearly and documenting patrol activity and incidents.

Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, if required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, staff support, and access-control procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
