About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer at a utilities location in Salem, Virginia, you will help safeguard the client by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access points, responding to alarms, and communicating professionally with employees and visitors. You will provide customer service while following site-specific procedures and security policies, and work with a team focused on reliability, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors at a utility location by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed, and maintain visitor and contractor entry records.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations by following emergency response protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
