About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer to support a retail and mall location in South Elgin, Illinois. The officer will conduct patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide customer service and communication to visitors, tenants, and staff. The role is scheduled for afternoon and evening shifts on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, and pays $20.95 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, responding to emergencies.
Conduct regular and random patrols of retail sales areas, stockrooms, loading areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor, vendor, and delivery access according to site-specific procedures.
Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location, provide courteous assistance, and report security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and/or site management.
