About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a retail and mall location in Chicago, Illinois. The officer will safeguard clients and support a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, providing customer service, and responding professionally to concerns and incidents. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and pays $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and retail personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the property perimeter.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, following site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property.
Report suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and daily activities according to company and site-specific procedures.
