About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer in Indianapolis, Indiana, for a logistics and distribution location. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. The role involves providing customer service and clear communication while working as part of a reliable team that values integrity. The schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.22 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures and policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, using problem-solving skills and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, warehouse perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements.
Document patrols, incidents, irregularities, and security-related observations through required reporting processes.
