About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to provide customer service and patrol security at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Henrico, Virginia. The role involves maintaining a visible presence, conducting routine patrols, monitoring assigned areas, and communicating professionally with employees, visitors, vendors, and appropriate personnel. The position pays $18.00 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Thursday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

The officer will follow site-specific procedures and security protocols, report security concerns, and respond calmly to incidents and alarms. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures and security protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access activity, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, coordinating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation in accordance with company and site requirements.
